The NAL Financial Team is located in Newport Beach, California, and proudly serves homeowners and homebuyers throughout California and Colorado. We are primarily a referral-based business. Most of our clients are referrals from our existing client base, family, and friends. Many are referrals from legal, taxation, family planning, insurance, and investment professionals. Working together we help our mutual clients achieve their financial goals.

Nick got his start in the mortgage industry in 2001. Originally starting a company with two others, Nick officially went off on his own to form NAL Financial in 2003. He is an alumni of USC’s Marshall School of Business, from which he graduated in three years. Nick is fluent in Spanish and has lived all over the world including: Singapore, Hong Kong, Denmark, Argentina, and Alaska. Nick currently resides in Newport Beach with his wife, Tamira, and children, Adelaide and Hunter.
Nick is very involved in the community, and is a long-time volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County. He has been matched with his Little for over six years and, because of his mentorship, has often been asked to represent the organization at various fundraising events.
In his free time, Nick enjoys golfing, surfing, traveling, and doing real estate development for himself. He loves the mortgage business because it allows him to watch his clients find their perfect home and better their financial situations.
Alex got his start in the mortgage business in 2011. It was around this time that many of his childhood friends were building their families and starting to look for houses. Alex realized there was a career opportunity available to him where he could be challenged mentally while also helping out his friends and family.
He was introduced to the mortgage business by Nick Louis, who as a friend and now mentor, has helped guide him to where he is today. Prior to NAL Financial, Alex worked with the City of Newport Beach as an ocean lifeguard. His job on the beach kept him busy during the summer months while he finished his business degree at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
As expected, he is challenged at work daily with fluctuating interest rates, unique client scenarios, and ever-changing market conditions. These challenges are welcomed and the experience is rewarding when Alex can help his clients call a new home their own. Outside of work, Alex enjoys surfing, golfing and traveling.
John has been in the mortgage business since 2002. He received his degree in communications from Cal State Long Beach and has also worked in advertising sales. He has built his business through referrals from friends and family as well as working closely with area real estate brokers. Working for his father’s accounting agency over the years has also given him practical knowledge in accounting and finance.
John was born and raised on Balboa Island, and is the epitome of a Southern Californian. When he’s not surfing, he enjoys golf, travel, and most importantly, spending time with his family. He and his wife, Dena, along with their two children, reside in Newport Beach. John is actively involved in fundraising for the Newport Elementary School Foundation, and he makes giving back to the community a priority.
John enjoys working in the mortgage industry because he’s able to help his clients attain the ultimate goal of home ownership. He loves working with people, and finding the best deal to fit his clients’ specific needs is what drives him.
Mark began his mortgage career in 2004 and initially worked for H&R Block Mortgage for just over two years. Since leaving retail lending, Mark has been successfully working as a Mortgage Consultant in the wholesale lending space. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1994 with an undergraduate degree and later earned a Master’s Degree in 1998. Mark is a Southern California native and resides in Anaheim Hills with his wife Amy and two daughters, Sheridan and Jillian.
When Mark isn’t helping out with coaching his daughter’s soccer and basketball teams, he stays visible within the community by attending and being a member of various networking groups and professional organizations. In his free time, Mark enjoys snow skiing, camping, hiking and most of all traveling with his family.
The mortgage business has been a great fit for Mark and the fact that Mark’s business is based solely on referrals, speaks volumes to how Mark’s clients and referral partners look to him as a trusted advisor.
